Capstan
We design the capstan for vessel mooring and auxiliary use. All capstans are available with electric or hydraulic drive. This capstan would comprise a single vertical cast steel warping end, and it would be fixed directly to the output shaft of the under mounted totally enclosed epicyclic reduction gearbox.
Transmission would be from a directly coupled hydraulic or electric motor, flange mounted onto the input of epicyclic reduction gearbox.
The total assembly would be mounted on a fabricated steel tubular support column, complete with flange mounting plate, suitable for bolting to the vessel structure.
